I can't believe Corbyn got a thumbs up from me when the Labour manifesto was revealed, the sooner they scrap these zero hour contracts the better.

I can offer you work..but not regular hours...would suit you until you find something better? Can't give you a zero hours contract, protecting us both? Fck it I'll just crack on with me and a subby

Have to agree with Dido. There is plenty of work unless you're an idle cnut who thinks everything underneath a directorship is beneath you.

 

People here complain like hell about employment and the financial crisis. Yet you ask them why don't you take this job here etc until you find something better and they always laugh replying I need something better now and don't even get me started on the officialdom here. I have an Irish friend who got a job at a government office. First day she gets a pile of papers on her desk and told to crack on. She'd finished just before lunch, so wanders over to her boss to ask for more work, all happy thinking yep I'm a grand worker. She was warned; that was work for the day, make it last instead of making everyone else look bad!

If I hid or wasted my savings I'd be far better of out of work,apparently.

If what I'm told's right I could be given more than twice the amount I earn by not working.

 

Wouldn't be worth the shame of signing on though.

Now my kids are in school my Mrs got a job 4 days a week. 10-3 so she could take and pick up kids.

 

2 days were cash in hand and 2 on the books. She lost the 2 days cash in hand because the business isn't that busy . She went and got another job for those 2 days 8-6.

 

She got whatever benefits you get. Family tax or child tax or something in nor sure .

 

So because she has 2 jobs now , we are actually less well off than before .

Woman in my town who apparently can't walk far recently walked a mile to pick up her new 20k dissability car .

 

While I who have a bad back and work full time plus extra work on weekends or night this week went to buy myself a 1k Mazda Tribute car because my car is knackered . I worked 2weeks straight after work every night till 9pm and 8-9pm on weekends to get that car. Im in my 2 week holidays now and I've worked 7 days of it to keep the house running along
