Choice

Those of you who own more than one rifle... how do you choose which to take out with you? Maybe specifically those who have 3-4 maybe...

Stresses me right out before I go. Fortunaly, I have 3 different calibers so maybe application makes the choice, but knowing any caliber is fine, it doesn't help that much. I can't imagine having two .22's for example.

I've not had that dilemma often pal.

When i had the 100 in .177 and the tx in .22 I got brain ache trying to decide which to pick up so I took them both out and left 1 in the van in case I made a bad choice......then came the dilemma, which do I leave in the van....for f#*k sale.. ..decisions decisions?

i flip a coin  even when the pcp wins i usually over rule it and take the springer any way.. both .177

and night time manoeuvres are usually on the farms or around buildings so i take the.22 cat less chance of passing through and damaging stuff!

Depends what I`m after.

Full camo job on the wily wood pigeons - pcp,- if 30 yds and under, either cal (.177 or .22) as under 30 yds the difference in trajectory is not worth talking about.

After 30 yds I tend to go .177. ( threading a shot through spindle branches)

With pcp I get little to no movement in myself and my dog sits like a statue when something comes in.

Hide shooting and a long day I lean towards the tuned T Rex,- as many shots as you like, one silent click cocking (short stroked) and doesn`t miss - usually :icon_redface:

Classic hunting,- takes everything you`ve ever learned to get you some good results, - if you want " the challenge".

I'm trying to cut my collection down to 1 PCP and 1 Springer, both in .177 - if I can stop other rifles from magically finding their way into the house (:whistling:) the choice should be fairly easy

...... The springer for when I fancy some good ol' back to basics shooting and, the PCP for everything else and night shooting.

That's the theory so far :thumbs:
