Gps Dog Trackers

Recommended Posts

I have a some sportdog tek 1.0 gps trackers for sale. They have upto 7 miles range and allow you to plot upto 20 way points. You can also add upto 12 dogs onto one handset. Also worth adding, both the handset and collars are fully waterproof. PM me if interested, cheers.

£450 for handset and one collar. I also have a few extra collars that you can add to the handset at £165. All prices include delivery.

Cheers, Jake

How do these compare to garmins please ? Do they need maps downloading or come with them on ? Very interested.

Side by side there seems practically no difference between the two as far as tracling ability. Although the Sportdog refreshes the dogs position more often than the garmin.

The tek 1.0 doesn't have a map, just a compass and shows an arrow where the dog is.

The compass & arrow showing what direction & how far away the dog is should be all that's required imo..I have the Garmin setup but being honest i very rarely if ever use the map,at £450 I'd say that's very reasonable,if you work your dogs where they often can't be seen due to the terrain you really would benefit from a GPS tracking device & once used you will wonder why you never got one much sooner!!!

The TEK 2.0 is meant to be the business ...... lifelong map updates, legal in the UK and with track and train collars for a bit extra. Man with the hounds that used to use the Garmin now swears by the Sportdog set up and i think he's a rep or distributor for them now he's that impressed.
