I was having mooch with the dogs this morning and as i was walking across the field i noticed to robins knocking fcuk out of each other so i walked over to get a better look and got to about two feet

Usually see one when fishing and end up feeding them half my maggots

 

Lol... when i used do gardening couple times theyve landed on the botton end of the mower whilst cutting... there tame as anything they are how close they used come when was weeding or turning a bed over was mad .

 

i use to go into work with a mate some saturdays he was a bus driver so i use to do the town service with him, anyway the shed they use to do the spanering in always use to have a robin in there and at bait time they use to feed it bits of cake and sandwhiches from there bait boxes, you could put food on top of your shoe and he would come and take it off.

I was watching countryfile one day and there was a woman on it that opens her kitchin window and a robin would fly in have a bit of food then perch on a picture frame.

I love the smaller garden birds , spend a fair few quid feeding them in the Autumn / winter , I always have a special treat for the Robin in my garden he loves a few bits of mince .

I'm the same. Spend a fortune on black sunflower and I get allsorts of small birds. Last year the winter siskins stayed on to breed and then brought their young round for it.

I get sunflower hearts five euros for two half kilos the birds love them.

Get alot of long tailed tits here nice little birds...

Used to get a family every summer come along side of the property along the fence as nearly every house had a climbing shrub on its back fence,but most chopped them back last summer so don't know if I will see them this year, I did see a tree creeper on the housing estate other week.in little clump of trees/bushes.
