beast 1,884
https://www.ultrawhitecollarboxing.co.uk/ one of the lads at work has signed up for this. he has done quite a bit of MMA in the past and takes his fitness very seriously, but he said he has never trained so hard in his life as what these guys ask of him! i boxed a bit as a kid but am certainly not in any position to give him much guidance, can anyone offer him any hints of what to expect or best approach to take?
DogFox123 1,379
Just stay fit, half of the blokes that take part in that scene are fat roid heads who have no skills whatsoever. Give them a round to throw all they have and then take them apart.
CraignTod 278
Tell hi to learn to cover up, spend most of first round moving and the next two will be his for the taking.. most people go flat out in first round and are to tored to carry on so he will wipe floor with them.
big napper 3,635
my son was an amateur boxer from 11 to 17 years old then he stopped for a year then had 2 white collar fights at 19, the lads he fought were a in there late 20's or early 30's and massive he was 12 stone 6 light heavy and they were super heavy by the look of them (even thou they were supposed to be the same weight) the rules and safety was nothing like as stricked as amateur or even professional, there was loads of dirty tricks used and the reff let it go so tell your mate to watch out for everything and like the lads above said most of them try for 1st round knockouts.

neems 2,406
From what I've seen the goal is to put on giant comedy boxing gloves then run at your opponent windmilling,if the referee tries to stop you you're meant to push him out the way,do that until one of you collapses or is knocked out. To be serious that looks quite well run and safe,I'm sure his coaches will steer him right. Even in real unlicensed boxing the standard is very low from what I've seen, certainly well below amateur.
WILF 49,978
What the f**k is white collar boxing?.........what's the matter with ordinary boxing ?..........or just going in the local or to football and having a set too? "A safe environment ......." ?............f**k sake, what is it with sport and staying "safe"??...........soon there will be no sport left where a man can go and test himself properly against another man.

Safe as in there's a doctor there, like there is in amateur and pro boxing I've heard some scary stories about people getting life wrecking injuries in unlicensed because they didn't get dealt with quickly enough after they're hurt, they're not fit, they have no medical before hand, doctor or quick route out if they need it. Jonjon79 13,358
Take the hits on your gloves and arms in the first round, let them tire themselves out a bit. Watch for their knees hitting yours, glove cuffs/fore arms, ebows, head, shoulder in the face. Learn to turn them as they come in. Wait for them to tire in the 2nd round. When they start breathing with their mouth open, pick them off relentlessly. You'll either hate it or you'll want more

gamerooster 1,179
Tell him to go in boxing and not scrapping, keep the hands up and chin in, and most importantly to relax and not to forget to breathe
