General lee 979
I've got a fence behind me that backs a field there's a few oak trees a couple of fir trees and I've planted some willow which have taken and are growing nicely but there's still a lot to cover what would be the best tree to plant something quick growing and would grow in thick clay? Clay as real good nutrients in it , break up the ground add some grit and compost and mix it up well then plant what ever you want

Waz 4,293
I've got a fence behind me that backs a field there's a few oak trees a couple of fir trees and I've planted some willow which have taken and are growing nicely but there's still a lot to cover what would be the best tree to plant something quick growing and would grow in thick clay?Alder Got some alder here self seeded like a weed and fast growing, loves it beside water, looks really nice and bushy as it grows back up from coppicing it. Its in the way though. Unreal colour the sap makes on the cut stumps! Think tango! Edited November 4, 2016 by Columbo
