I've got the second ones down for casual wear. Never fancied dealer boots myself, and they're banned on sites in UK as a safety boot style , a mate of mine got into arguments with a safety guy regards his dealer boots, it ended with a shouting match and threats of red cards etc , my mate drew laces on them with a marker pen and wore them to the end of the job.

Can you wear rigger boots then? I not been on a “site” for donkeys years tbh

It's site dependent I guess but no riggers where I am. Or where I've been.

“Riggers” used to be almost de-rigueur for blokes on building sites,what’s the reasoning behind the drift away from them mate?

As a lad doing asbestos work with a family member it seemed most lads (or atleast the younger cooler ones haha) wore rigger boots on any site we went to, I was always wantin a pair but tried a couple an never felt right so used wear lace up boots, I hate steel toe cape with a passion, have walked off places for refusing to put them on haha still to this day tho I’m always hurting me toes haha so prob should wear em, but fcuk are they uncomfy an wierd to wear

 

only time I ever wore dealer boots was at school haha they was called Chelsea boots back then, never liked them then but was forced to wear em haha when k started on farms I noticed tho everybody wore em, so got some redbacks tk try an never looked back, non steel toe cap ones tho haha

Glad I got these,walking on ice lakes yesterday,ice was even forming on the boots,my feet were actually warm,decent footwear in harsh conditions.

lots of sites don't allow you to wear them , because of the lack of ankle support,and the risk of them catching on things when in confined spaces etc,they were banned full stop on the Telecoms network 15 years or more ago....they were originally designed for getting off your feet quickly,when falling into water from the oil rigs...they handy for fat cnuts that can't bend down and tie laces

Seen a comment on social media from a chap who owns and runs a country outdoor clothing unit near me and he reckons the Crispi boots are now made in China. Though he was promoting the Dedito high boots that he sells in his shop. Not heard anything about the Dedito boots tbh though I know a few lads who have had their wellingtons and they were garbage.

Just checked tats,mine say made in Italy,the whole foot of one of them was solid ice the other week,far worse weather than anything you could experience in the UK the other week and my foot was dry and warm,the proof of the pudding,really good boots,I will get Crispi again
