I'm happy with my 30 quid haix army issue boots off eBay sod spending 300 on a pair of boots I've got kids to feed.

Saw these behind the counter in the British heart foundation charity shop in Rotherham and bought a couple of pairs. Decent socks for the price tbh.

Haix, comfy, well made, good design, cheap, better than Lowa imo  Cheers, D.

Mate of mine went shooting Elk over the pond last year. Bought the top of the range Crispi's to go. They didn't last the fortnight, and went back.

Same with Danner, TimmyK bought a pair in the States on recommendation, and didn't get a seasons digging in them...

Got the hanwag tatra top wides , fit perfectly, really pleased with them

Can be a funny thing recommending boots as what you find good fitting boots might not be suitable for some one else though i wish I could find a pair of work boots as comfortable as my hanwags.

I swear by Hanwag, the leather is second to none,  the problem they have these days is the foam rubber shit they've packed out in the heal. I've a pair here that need resoling,  any recommendations company wise ?

I used  local shop last time and their work was shite, they didn't last a month before they went in the bin.

Recently looked at some dovre gtx exstremes meindle. Got to say the hanwags looked a lot better made boot comparing them to the meindle regarding the stitching and the the lacing eyelets though the meindle were lighter and higher than the hanwag tatra i have.

How you getting on with them mate. Only slight issue i have with mine is a few cracks in the leather despite using the hanwag boot wax after I had run out of the hanwag aerosol boot waterproofer though the boots are still 100pct waterproof.

I use Timberland pro split rocks . Probably gone through a dozen different boots over the years , probably gonna go for more of a trail/trainer version next but if I'm on site I wear the above.

Are they light Borr ?

Nope, similar to the V12 I had decent , but for a more light duty I'll definitely try another Timberland pro range, they do some lighter boots looking at the pictures, not narrow and durable. About £120 for splitrock but worth ten times a DeWalt or similar, I've large feet anyway, so spend a bit on boots if it lessens the pain , stand most of day welding or whatnot it's still a massive relief to get my Keens on at end of day , I was wearing them on previous job but on this it wouldn't be safe plus I'd get red carded before tea break.
