forest of dean redneck 12,023
I would of love to see him Fight batley Gorman. I remember going down as kid to the fair and watching men fight in the boxing booths ,they had to last three ( 3 minute rounds didn't have to beat the guy just go the distance ,and very few did manage to last against them .lots of tough men then as nobody had nowt .I've read both their biographys ages ago,one refused to fight the other Didnt they,? suppose to have beat maclean and shaw .Yeah I meant McLean an Gorman ,I'm sure Gorman wrote McLean didn't want to fight. morton 5,369
Seen on sky films that there is a documentary biopic type film of Lenny McLean... the advert looks ok ... might be worth a watch ....... I read his book a few years ago,i doubt the film will depict his book, the censors would,nt allow it.

gnasher16 31,602
Havent seen it myself but im told its more of a documentary rather than a film in some ways its a shame theres never been a film made about him as its an interesting story......im just not sure theres an actor past or present who could really do the part justice so probably would of been crap anyway as the wrong casting could of been hilarious.

socks 32,253
It felt a bit of an awkward watch if I'm honest ... it was sort of his son hanging off his coat tails and reputation ... none of the family apart from one of his nephews wanted to be on camera or talk about anything ... there was nothing new that you can't read in the book and the historic footage is all on you tube ... basically it was his son talking us through the book ........ I can see how it came across that way, but maybe the film makers wanted it that way. Enjoyed it, worth a watch, lots of stuff on youtube in this film, well put together, would of been good to see some more of his family, but they seemed to distance themselves from the production. Maybe sleeping dogs n all that.
