I don't much care either way as I'm here and I'm going to enjoy my life as much as I can. Knowing "the truth" wouldn't change a thing.

What makes evolution more believable to me is the tiny steps involved. We didn't just turn from one-cell organisms into what we are today overnight. It has been tiny step after tiny step for thousands of years. You can see we are still evolving. We are getting bigger, faster and stronger than we were years ago. Look at the doorways in old houses.

Becoming what we are from absolutely nothing in one step. Nope.can't see it.

But why are we getting bigger, faster and stronger when the laws of nature say we don't need to? Technology that we use should be shaping the way we evolve, we simply don't need to be the athletes we once was...

Not for me mate,,just a story to keep folk in line by rulers in older days...   My old gran who was a church goer,,,,,she would say the bible got it wrong,,,and God and the devil were just spelling

I've never believed in a God . My parents didn't either . I think that present day science rtf can prove that most of the bible didn't happen or would have been impossible. Moses parting the sea etc

Cain married his sister and thus God created......Norfolk !

This is the bit evolution people have never explained to me, where did the one cell organism come from?.......I'm not trying to be a clever c**t, I genuinely want to know the explanation on how nothing becomes something and then that something gives itself life?
Although it doesn't answer the questions how did life start the panspermia theory could explain be how simple life came to earth from space. . recently microorganisms have been found clinging and living on the outsdie of the international space station a environment previously thought for many reasons uninhabitable for living things http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/188479-astronauts-find-living-organisms-clinging-to-the-international-space-station-and-arent-sure-how-they-got-there. .at this point nobody can say how life started but given that life at its basic level is just chemical reaction but with the ability to replicate its self I dont think its to far of a stretch of the imagination to think that somewhere in the vast universe all the ingredients and conditions were just right to start things of just because we can't replicate it doesn't prove or disprove anything ...end of the day its all pie in the sky and you just have to go with your own gut feelings and my gut feeling is life is simply a inevitable product of the universe the bigger question is how did the universe come to be .
That's all a bit out there kanny, they can't even say for sure that it's not contamination, did you read comments, contamination seem true.

Mate there's no way we're getting bigger stronger faster, in fact we're getting weaker an slower, just look at ( Neanderthal man ) bigger brain, stronger bones, etc we weak compared to what we were, actually does 2nd law of thermodynamics not saying everything falls apart over time?

Spontaneous generation, has been proved impossible in the lab, couple hundred years ago, that's getting life from non living matter, it can't happen then or now, why's that.

So how do they expect us to believe it happened in past to create life, now that's faith lol

I wasn't try to suggest that the microorganisms they found came from outaspace its a earth organism just pointing out that its surviving and thriving in the vacuum of space somthing thought impossible previously and that has to give some weight to the panspermia theory . Edited by kanny

The top end of people may be getting more intelligent etc (possibly),but the fact we're on the whole getting weaker and stupider doesn't disprove evolution, there is almost no selective pressure for those traits in a liberal, civilised society.

All that's required is that you can eventually conceive and give birth, with as much assistance as you could possibly want to do even that.

Well I think it's logical to say that it does disprove it, it's the complete opposite from evo?

We are growing as a species, probably due to improved nutrition and medical care.

Evolution isn't a linear progression.

Selective pressure is what drives it,our selective pressures haven't just stagnated, they've almost all been removed.

That means that new and unhelpful mutations that pop up aren't culled, and make it into the gene pool, slowly dragging us all down.

I know this won't sink in anyway, but there's always hope

Well we already know protons can come from nothing. Whats to say the universe didn't appear the same way. I think its something to do with positive energy creating negative energy.

isnt nothing/zero justva concept anyway.

f**k its melting my brain thinking about this lol
