Most of what I know about Islam is through research and out of the horses mouth, for example;

 

Iranian teenagers being hounded and beaten by police in Iran for frantanising together.

 

Saudi Arabian women not being allowed to drive, uncover or leave the house unattended.

 

I have hundreds more.

Saudia and the other theifdoms of the Bedous around the Persian Gulf little impresses me about them. As for Iran every one you produce criticising I will give you 10 about the Civilised Western Democracies. Go research the Shah and his Fathers Dynasties that were imposed on the Iranian people by the British pre Revolution. My experiences and those of family and relatives are first hand not some idle chatter or fabricated accounts.So what is your point?

A good Iranian mate and most of his family fled the revolution because the were Christian. His family is still persecuted.

 

Another mate was visiting family in Iran 5 months ago, him and his friends had to bail a party because the police showed up because there were both sexes there ?

Because free mixing of people at what you term parties may be acceptable in western society but in islam no even at most islamic marriages the male and female are segregated, Go to Emitates and Saudia most of the "Muslims are more western than you LOL I know Christian families , Jewish families as well as Seikh and Hindu who have lived their for Generations in Iran and are not persecuted most of the ones who left were Raza Shah supporters or people who wanted Western style life that Raza Shah was encouraging even he was allowed to leave with his entire family after the Revolution without any violence towards them. I observe the Law here in UK if I dont thenii would expect action to be taken against me.The same is the case in any country I visit.
