Just north of aviemore,i have family up there, nice place,i think we all become complacent of the scenery and wilderness thats on our very doorsteps never mind halfway across the globe, scotland is breath taking and stunning, but its overlooked at times, good pics tomo, getbyourself a small gill net for next time off the beach,be lucky.
NEWKID 29,107
Cracking pics Tomo, what a beautiful part of the world it is. We'll be back up at some point this year hopefully, (take the pup home lol)... The West Coast is absolutely stunning, glad you caught a few crabs mate, you've done something wrong if the meats dry though, I tend to mix a little bit of mayo, lemon juice and mustard in mine, fresh in a sandwich with cucumber.... Fooking lovely!!

TOMO 29,311
Looks lovely Tomo! Nice to be able to wild camp too. I reckon I'm gonna have to give this seafood a go. Planning a few mackerel fishing jaunts to start with on Chesil beach. Yeh I like lobster,,,langustines,,prawns,,muscles,,,,,I now know I don't like crab,,,,what a fecking faf about for a bit of meat that's dry if the crabmeat was dry its because you overcooked it I did wonder,,,it said on the net,,,cook a 2lb crab for 20 mins,,,so I guessed it was around that ,,,and did it for 20,, Might have to try one properly done,,just to see if I like it.. 15 to 20 mins for a 2 lb crab tomo but you have to run them under cold water when you take them out because the shell retains a lot of heat and carries on cooking if you don't ,your camping trip looks great . Oh right,,that's where I went wrong,,,,after I cooked it,,,I wrapped it in tin foil,,cooked the other one,,it was a bit smaller,,,wrapped that in foil,,,and then cooked some new potatoes....bugger,,,lesson learned ,,cheers mate
