In Or Out ???

Recommended Posts

It would be nice but I can't see it to many tree huggers that know very little about country life or ways it's the tesco generation

Yep very true. My littleun has told her class at school about a few of her exploits with me and not one kid in the class is comfortable with it. The teacher pulled her mum to one side and asked if she thought it was okay that my young'un was killing rabbits with her hands and "hitting trout on the head with a stick" then eating them in various stews and pies.

Her mum said she was fine with it and thought it was good that she knew where her food came from. Neither of the teachers agreed.

It's a sad state of affairs.

What's gone is gone when it comes to lurcher & terrier work,it will never be as it once was & that ain't being pessimistic it's facing the reality of it all..the only thing likely to make a comeback regarding hunting is that if a fella has the misfortune of bumping into a stupid deer & heaven forbid his jukel chases it and catches it & he is seen doing so he is likely to be hung from the gallows for his misfortune..we are the scurge of society to the hoodwinked mass im afraid ?

Sounds about right that. I'm just a moocher now, if anything gets up anywhere it's an accident and I call my dogs back accordingly.

I ain't saying they will come back but I will shout them ?

Gaz. Your are only a young lad. Back in the days when mum and dad had to 'find' food to feed us 8 kids it was a way of life. As an 8 year old I was sent to tickle trout in our local burn and to poach salmon on the mighty river Tweed. Not only that but rabbiting was a way of life and roadkill ( hares and deer) essential. Even then I was considered a little strange because jumping into the river in January was not for the faint hearted. Your little girl has all it takes and it was and will always be a pleasure to be in her company.I hope and pray my granddaughter gets the same vibes. Jok.

Cheers Jok. Appreciate that. Granted it's not a necessity for us, we are very lucky I suppose. I love the whole aspect, taking in the countryside, hunting, putting food on the table myself and educating my girl along the way. If she moves away from it in a few years and finds boys and makeup then that's her choice entirely and I will be fine with that, but at least I've given her that foundation, she knows animals have to breed in the summer and then die to feed us in the winter, she has got the skills to dispatch her own and it won't be long before she is skinning and gutting, she already has a bash.

That will stay with her for life I reckon. Very sad that kids are wrapped in cotton wool and think meat comes from a polystyrene tray in the supermarket.

If we get out the EU and get rid of people in our BRITISH country do you think it might change the Lurcher an terrier job ?

Not one bit,,,,

As much as we need to do somthing about immigration ,,,,,,the sad fact is,,It's not the immigrants that have stopped our way of life,,,it's the loony left,,,vegan fooking,,lentil wearing ,,tyi dyed,,hunt sabbing,,fecking hippies,,,,and stupid politicians that have put a stop to it

It was British law that bought about the ban,

Starting or leaving the eu will have no baring on hunting .

I believe it has little baring on our lives and only big business and politicians will be affected directly.

The out want out so they have more control to batter workers rights.

The in want to trade freely and immigration

To keep wages down and a fluid work force.

I'm voting out ,just because Cameron has tried to scare people by saying there will be wars if we pull out

Incidentally immigration will not go down by leaving they will just get more from India Africa and the Philippines etc as they won't be protected by minimum wage once out of the eu
