YOKEL 2,362
Make sure it's the organic virgin stuff Ray. Holland and Barrett sometimes have it on for a tenner but second jar is a penny so works out okay. Yeah spot on.. The refined processed coconut oil is no good for you whatsoever... Its gotta be virgin Make double sure it comes from coconuts that aint been f.ucked!!! Yokel

VOON 1,317
Im always sceptical about these fad superfood type things but ive Been using some organic virgin coconut oil to help treat symptoms of a condition I have ...I was told by a freind to give it a go to help with a sore cramping stomach and it seems to be doing the trick I've hardly had a pain for a couple of weeks now I highly recommend it if you have a stomach of a delicate disposition. ..anyone else tried it? no , but have gut probs, my doctor thinks i suffer with (ibs), can you buy this stuff over the counter .? Google Alforex, read about Prof John O Shea's work, helps in a lot of cases.

kanny 21,756
All I can go by is my own experience with it and that is my stomach hasn't felt so settled for as long as I can remember it's good just to have some normality back... The other claimed health benefits of the oil are just a bonus for me

mackem 30,148
So from the looks of those jars they are or look like what we call Buko coconut, when we used to get coconuts when i was a kid they were old hard white interiors,if you chop a fresh one down the interior is like a white jelly you scoop outbwith a spoon,is that a virgin coconut? kanny 21,756
Just a note about dosages as there some conflicting info out there about how much to take... I'm taking 2 good tea spoons a day one in the morning and one in the evening and that appears to be doing the trick for me . I make a half cup of warm tea stir the oil in and neck the lot like a shot. The taste with tea is great it's just the greasiness that's a bit of putting hence the shot tactics. I think virgin mean that it's pure unrefined unprocessed oil same as virgin olive oil.

VOON 1,317
I used it to clear up Celluitus when the antibiotics weren't having a effect. How's that ? Let it turn into liquid and rub into the skin, it's has great healing powers on the skin.
