First Daytime Spring Un's

Rez

Recommended Posts

Having checked the weather forecast for Lincoln two days ago, I noticed it would be sunny this morning, up until mid day and obviously the bank holiday so no 'official' work.

Having just got this sodding new place, Ive been whipped into various jobs and such and booked a few hours off this morning with the mrs to have a bash at some rabbits I thought might be out in the early hours as the sun came up. I set off at 6.30am, just after the sun rise, and after a massive 12 minute drive... :D arrived at one of my permissions.

There was not "that" much about, it was cold, with heavy due over the grass which soaked my jacket, but the sun was bright as ya like. I say not that much about but the pigeons where out in full force shaggin and such. I dropped my first of 3 with a bit of a drawn out stalk, with the sun behind me so it was in my favour. The second two came about with a bit of an ambush along a fence/hedge the buggers sit out when its a warm day. All nice 30 yard distances or there about. Annoyingly 2 where Does, but as much as I was annoyed the land owner couldn't of cared less "They grow up to be like the others...".

All in all, mint to get back out in the fields again and with my HM. First daytime rabbits taken with it, most my night shooting goes with my 100 being .177 of course. But yeah. Super morning. Back the to f****n' painting again. Sigh.

Nice on Rez. Good pics too pal.

I know what you mean about the work thing.....always gets in the bloody way of fun stuff. I gained a 25 acre wood full of beech and oak etc about 3 weeks ago and it's full of woodies and grey squirrels but it's not too local to me so haven't had the time......now I have the time over the weekend the weather forecast for here is 35 to 50 mph winds.....f#*×ing great.

Well let's hope you get back on there soon pal.

Cheers lads.

Dave. It's done in the states mate, something I spec'd up as part of the order. It's well done, so good in fact that i have no idea how it was applied. Think it's tape to be honest rather than a wrap.
