cheep cuts aren't so cheep anymore since the advent of bistro/gastro pubs that made them trendy. There all good cuts in my eyes some just need a little more love but often turn out better than the expensive cuts if done right... Something our grandparents and before understood as they didn't have much choice most of the time. Edited by kanny

Corrrr not half!

Was a couple of years back now, ferreting a bit of land and my mate turned up who's a keen "mushroomer".... had a few rabbits, and he handed us some fresh Ceps from that morning, some veg, herbs, bacon lardons, couple of bits of chicken, pearl barly, split peas and a few red lentils, was pretty good!!

Yep ,,love a good rabbit stew,,,

And a quick tip for easy pies,,,,supermarket ready rolled sortcrust pastry,,,get two packs,,,,I use the Yorkshire pudding roasting tray thingy,,,

Unroll pastry,,,,cut round circles with a small saucer ,,or wide cup,,,,line yorki tray thing,,,with these circles of pastry,,put some of stew in them ,,top of with a smaller circle of pastry same size as top then crimp together and egg wash,,,prick with fork,,,in the oven 160 ish for Half hour,,,,perfect mini pies
