Size Difference Between A Wolverine And An American Badger

Recommended Posts

That was a small, maybe juvenile Wolverine IMO.

There are 3 specimens of American Badgers in the natural history museum in Dublin and they're small. A lot smaller than their European cousins.

There's always been lads on the net trying to compare the European badger to the American, why ?

I used to be a member of a couple of American terrier forums and one thing I did see twice over the years was American badgers killed by imported terriers from the UK.

Both terriers were bred by men who's terriers don't make an impact on working blood lines over this side.

hi,

there was a program on tv a while ago ( called jasper the wolverine, you can watch it on youtube ) about a guy who has a wolverine as a pet, over here they are the ultimate hunting/surviving machine, they will fight with anything (wolves, black bears, and even a grizzly ) for its territory and food, they will eat anything that's going and hunting wise they can bring down a moose that's bogged down in the snow, along with caribou, even coyote, beaver, porcupines, ....etc... they can also smell food in 20ft deep snow, they can reach 3ft in length, and about 3 stone in weight but a big male can go as much as 70-80 pounds in weight, they trap for them in north Canada, Yukon, for there fur as it doesn't freeze in the cold making it desirable, but in all its a good all rounder for taking care of it self and surviving . tilly.

But what would win in a fight.... A wolverine or a honey badger?

Some stats here for you its a close call but looks like the wolverine cones out on top .The honey badger is closer related to the wolverine than a badger just a bit of trivia for you http://www.wildanimalfightclub.com/lion-fight-tiger-vs-gorilla-attacks/bid/80863/Honey-Badger-vs-Wolverine
