I have one in the lounge and sit watchin it while missus is watchin tele...she thinks Im some sort of cave man! We have a solid fuel aga in kitchen aswell that runs heating and hot water. myersbg 1,385 Posted October 30, 2015 Report Share Posted October 30, 2015 Best thing i ever did to the house was fit a wood stove, hardly anything to pay to the gas board, luckily i get plenty of free wood although it takes a bit of time getting it but there is a lot of satisfaction when the wood shed is full and who doesnt like playing with saws and big axes, when your stressed there is nothing like going outside and knocking fck out of a load of wood. I once told the lads down the pub that i lock the woodshed up when i go out, so as the misses cant use any when i am out, they all think i a real twot. brian 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

He used to say this when we built camp fires whilst fishing that if we werent camping usually ended up being closer to a bonfire! Indian build fire, keep warm. White man build fire, burn wood.
