The Power Of The Internet..

Recommended Posts

yesterday morning a pal of mine rang me and told me that his son had seen a small type lurcher in some big private woodlands he owns [over grown] and the dog was in poor condition..any ways his old man goes up there and see's it in the same place [sunny spot] his lad told him..took some food up there but couldn't get near it ..so he rings me next day to see if I knew of any one with a dog type cage trap.. tells him no ,,so he has a ring round no joy..said he'd ring me back..so I did a little search on net and up come's a site,, and there's an advert with description of dog[name very timid etc]. not that far from were it was lost.[about five six miles away].any way gets a phone number of site and goes up there.. no sign of dog and the food was not touched from previous day,so thinks not looking good this..bag of meal I took with me left it about,, anyways I had a good look round and no sign etc.... so rings the number, and my pal gives description of said dog, to say the owners were gratefull was an understatement.. it had been missing for nearly a month.. [old couple] anyway they came over teatime last night and my mate showed them the area were last seen..and left it at that.. anyway great news.. gets a phone call last night dog found..

we all get pissed of with the net at times but...............

if he had not rung me, he's not on net..the outcome of this would/could have been very different spoke to the old couple this morning and they couldn't thank me and me pal enough..

so there ya go...

thanks......

Yep can come good sometimes, there was lurcher found near here, details was put on local facebook page, next day a lost was put up on here and I managed to pass details on ,and inform the poster on facebook that owner was known and ringing kennels ,as couple of women showed interest in the dog for some strange reason.
