Ive saw a few wheaton xs work and ive owned dogs with wheaton in there blood but ive never saw any difference between them and a bull x to be honest I know the best straight wheatons come from ireland and there kept between the lads who use them and its hard to get hold of a decent 1 unless your in the know if you get what i mean

I was told by a wheaten enthusiast a few years back that it's hard enough to get a descent one nowadays even if you're in the click. The failure rate in litters of well bred wheatens he told me was fairly high. On the flip side, where I live you could travel a short distance in any direction to find a good well bred p.b.t stud.

i no a lad bred first cross wheaten grey, the dam was a grey about 26,wheaten stud 19,pups didnt make any size bitches 17 and dogs 19 i think,so no matter what way you do it there is no guarantee your going to get a decent size pup.

yes you'll see a lot of cobby 1st x types
