I can't find any in my usual spots in Lancashire, we are hoping to make a load of sloe gin to put in little bottles for all our guests when we get married next year.

Did that at a recent wedding I went to also agree with you seems to be very bad for sloes around here so far also which is a surprise cos blackberries where the best for a while

Hedges here have a bumper harvest this year   Don't like people selling them as they get greedy....take what you need and leave the rest for others

apparently all the wealthy have been mixing it with champers so I tried some and it was handsome !! I gonna have some myself to have on Christmas Day . ?

Don't be silly mate. As long as a couple kilos is enough, or do you need more?

put them in a bottle of patcheen along with a 1/2 dozen brandy balls for a couple of weeks..nice but dont drink it all at once.lol

I made some sloe poitin a few years back, jaysus feckin wept it was a heady brew!!!

I'm going to try it not really a wine or Champlain drinker but I'll give the slow version a go Infact when I go into a pub and see a man drinking wine it makes me feed sick
