As Britain has decide to take in refugees I would imagine that there is now no britsh people forced to sleep rough and have recived housing as there would be no way they would take these people in and be able to offer them housing and benfits while it own people are on the street and sleeping rough as I have heard that a lot of homeless in Britain are infact often British soldiers who have fought for there country as when they are discharged have no home income etc so iam glad this goverment has sorted it about time to well done no more homeless bet tomorrow no one will see big Issue sellers any more

I agree we could do more to help our own but that doesn't mean we should stop helping in emergencies

that's why the government has said they will only take in people from the camps, not the ones who try to smuggle themselves in, as for myopic halfwits, they seem to be the ones who can`t accept that more than 3/4s of the ones heading into Europe are not war refugees, they are economic migrants and every country has, and should use, the right to refuse entry to them

During April, May and June of this year, Eurostat (the EU's official statisticians) counted 213,000 asylum claims - just 44,000 were from Syrians. Migrants have been found from Nigeria, Pakistan and Bangladesh, among others, so they are NOT refugees, they are economic migrants, attempting to enter Europe illegally - 17,700 claims were made by people later found to be Albanian !

 

What we actually have is a relatively small refugee problem, made much, much worse by a flood of bandwagon-jumpers......

 

 

(PS - I am myopic (near-sighted), but I think the only half-wits are those who believe the lies being peddled by the media, the government and the EU.......

Afghans have a relatively stable government, still given massive backing by the West. I've read many accounts that say Eritreans flee the country to avoid compulsory military service. ( Though I'd probably have to agree that Eritrea is probably the mother of all 5hit-holes !)

There is no war in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Albania, Kosovo or Nigeria.....

 

Most of the so-called refugees seem to be 'fighting-age' men, whose energies might be better spent by staying with their families and fighting for their countries' futures......

Afghanistan has a civil war not a reasonably stable government ,, funded by external regimes, and destabilised by foreign funded mercenaries. Much is the same situation in Iraq, Syria ,Lybia where sovereign governments were removed by foreign powers , good or bad regimes they kept a reasonable amount of control and stability until western policy decided to bring stability

I'd have to agree with you, DB - at least Saddam and Gaddafi kept a lid on their countries tensions.......and the West was happy enough to cosy up to them, when it suited.
