Pine Marten ???

Recommended Posts

Interesting you lads say they turn up in the odd town, they've always struck me as real secretive, deep woodland dwelling creatures.

One animal I'd absolutely kill to see in the wild

Plenty about these days as theyve been releasing them up here especially in Aberdeenshire ....not much gets away from them and they have been decimating the black grouse ....theres a video going about of a sea eagles nest not far from me and the eggs were taken by a pine martin ...so at least they do some good :tongue2:

Interesting animal..

One below fell to apples.. Was out one January on a fox drive with a friends beagles, and they were on a pine marten, I was filming more for the music of the hounds than to see anything, and the marten leapt up this tree not seeming to break its stride. Was shot out of the tree. They are pure wirey muscle.

So what you're saying is that game keepers are now training Pine Martens to steal Eagle eggs ?

It would not surprise me one bit Neil if the RSPB came out with a statement say the pine martin was trained by keepers
