leegreen 2,256
That's a cracking trout Tb......wild fish ?........looks it. Good man putting it back, smaller ones will be better eating. Probably stocked looking at the size of it and those mown banks , cracking condition Cock fish all the same. Saying that browns it waters that have Crayfish can grow big. Good to see you returned it, maybe good to the breeding population. It was a good job you were trout fishing coarse fishing season doesn't start for a few days. Just a heads up, make sure you always have the appropriate rod licence, because if you are somewhere you are not meant to be, not having a rod licence is the biggest thing you can get nicked for. kanny 21,755
River smite or Devon or Witham perhaps? it was the perch that got me I loved spinning for specimen perch when I was a lad.. A passion I wouldn't mind reigniting..the trout is beautiful you did right putting it back don't think it would taste great...when we were kids we borrowed quite a few rainbow from a local fishery and put them in the Devon but never managed to rematch any of them. The Derwent at Derby for some nice Perch - Earl of Harrington do a day ticket. Also big Barbel, nice Chub and even Grayling if you know where.
