Jesus Christ, readin this in bed, gonna have depressing dreams tonight I think

stick porn hub on mate sure you'll be fine

Think I've seen enough wood for tonight haha

Im with u on the sentimentality though. I get chocked up at my parents house. They have a big long garden that's overgrown. Can still see the old rotting treehouse me and my brawd used to hide sunday sport newspapers in with the rusted tins hanging in the trees riddled with pellet holes

Could almost be a metaphor for my soul

Get up there an snaff some of the timber to make a something from, when all the rest is rotted away you'll still have summat ;)

i still got me dads ash stick he made and we used when I was a little un to reach the best black berries...

Neither he nor the tree are here anymore, but i do grin like a fool every time I use it to black berrying!

Same here the property I was bought up as kid is just down the road I pass it all the time. Full of memories the little oak where my first terrier is buried under still there just over the hedge where it won't get disturbed.

The little chicken shed crumbled to the floor. Every time I pass the place it gets me

Nowt wrong with a bit of tree sentiment. Always saddens me when i see an old monster being cut down.

Where i now live there are large new tree plantations but though the species in em is different, they grow almost uniform with no noticable difference from any distance. Then i look the other way and see the grounds of the old Hall and it's huge ancient treeline, all different, all striking.

So my new mission is planting trees locally. Horse chestnuts, sycamores and good old english oaks around the fringes of the new plantations and wherever i think one would improve the views.

I'm also planting apple trees in the quiet places along my local walks, 6 this year, with more next. Just a bit of time and effort and i hopefully improve my area, not for me, i'll be long gone but for others, especially my daughters family, who i hope will know that i put that there.

Yep, nowt wrong with a bit of tree sentiment. ;)

Planted a acer tree 2 weeks ago for our new baby (due yesterday) and the f****n pup chewed it to bits within 24 hours...

So another 40 quid lighter the new acer has a 20 quid fence round it and the pups a little shorter lol....

So yes... I'd agree you can get a little attached to trees!!!

Yes plant more trees!

Don't see enough Lyme trees nowadays, Used to be one of our main trees before the Oaks, Chestnuts etc came here me thinks.

I used to plant a tree for every tree I cut down and always tried to talk customers out of total removal.

Bit partial to giving the odd tree a hug, especially the ones I know :icon_eek: .
