Lifting The Ban

Recommended Posts

A while ago now on the shooting thread there was a fox shooting gallery which started to go tits up with the usual arguments, on it I suggested a fox damage galley, nothing came of it and the thread got deleted, maybe a quarry damage thread with the damage fox, mink, deer, hare and rabbits do is the way forward to show people why these animals need control. Another thing where people talk of stalls at country shows is mentioned, I've seen RSPCA stalls in town centres with the usual horrific pictures, why not put are own stalls in town centres were the uneducated public can see what it's about instead of in country shows were the majority already have a bit of a clue of what we do and why.

Did the ban stop anyone in the first place? I think the good lads kept there head down and the idiots got caught posting on facebook, it would be nice not to have to make two trips for one session tho

Your having a laugh NO they won't lift the ban tory lieing scum

I know what you mean mate, but I heard from a farmer not so long ago that the annual hare shoot last year at Sandringham accounted for about 900 hares, it made me wonder how many other estates have ma

Those dogs having been shot is absolutely beyond a joke, had it been someone else with Spaniels,Labs or any breed come to that this wouldn't have happened you could bet your last pound..why someone could even contemplate doing such a thing for no unjust reason is beyond me? Was there any need for such a crime..and it is a crime..hopefully the Anti brigade,RSPCA lovers etc will see this whilst reading anonymously and fined the balls to register and come leave a comment on this..as per I could bet my life they wont ..bad craic indeed

reuse em trenchfoot yea no worries,

With respect trenchfoot and cocker IMHO those pictures we understand are the end result of a hare shoot, to the anti's that'll be the end of a days coursing even the one ripped open :hmm: lets not make it too easy for them

Y.I.S Leeview

Don't worry, I may not use them, just looking at putting together an open letter/article

Any photo's of a large bag of rifled foxes may also be useful

the people who had the dogs shot, 2 days ago, know who the person who did it is and everything about him,

Absolutely gut wrenching that Cocker and the law seems fit to allow such criminal behaviour .. Beggars belief mate

Good start with the fish pictures, but more needed . Although I don't think selling the shooting fellas out will do us any favours, the way I see it each method has a place, as good or careful a shot anyone is , some places cannot be shot over that's were lurchers come in, some forests and areas to vast and hounds must be used, and terriers I see as special forces sent in to mop up the ones tucked in their strong hold where only the bravest get a result. All different , all effective and we should all stand as one.

its not a case of selling anybody out. I hunt , shoot and fish. I feel that the time is right to put together an "article" that sums up the situation for fieldsports in the UK. The role of " hunting with dogs" plays within the uk and the pluses and minuses of the ban from "our side". I'm not just talking about a re-write of stuff thats been said before, but some a slightly different tack also.

A rabid anti will never open their eyes and ears to what we hold dear. But the middle ground, that have little knowledge of the real countryside can be enlightened. Bitching, name calling and shit throwing will get us nowhere. And if we are to have any chance of having a fair hearing, we need to clear out our own sh!t.

I agree but I don't see how showing a load of shot foxes will help. A good few years ago football was plagued with violent racist idiots, many probably weren't football fans at all. Somehow and I don't know how ( I'm not a footy fan)most of these idiots have been weeded out, the odd tit still surfaces but on the whole the game seems to of cleaned its image, maybe we could take a leaf out of the premier leagues book.

Timmy, I like your football analogy. "The hunting with dogs" game has a nucleus of fucktards that will/have ruined it for the rest of us.I also can understand your concerns about what pictures may be put up. Rest assured, I am more than capable of putting together a coherent and digestible viewpoint without seeking to enter into any argument.

i think it should be the shooting men, supporting hunting and fishing people in this country, as in time to come it will be the shooting men who are in the firing line, from the antis and league against cruel sports,
