Gaz_1989 9,539
I'm very happy with my bull x.just finished her first season and her willingness to hunt is unreal.Mine has not even had a season and is the same. Was in the local park yesyerday and jumped a small fence after 2 Canadian geese and straight in the lake after them. He is coming along very nicely and I am more than happy with him.You can be fined up to £20,000 or sent to prison for up to 6 months (or both) if your dog is deemed dangerously out of control in a public place. "Coming along very nicely" It was the 1st time he has been there off the lead around geese, no harm was caused and he will not be off his lead again around them. And yes gaz he is coming along very nicely. Some of the geese around the same lake need to be put on a lead and muzzle, seen them running a few kids carrying a loaf and the squirrels have had to have their teeth removed because they been biting dogs. The squirrels owner didn't fancy 6 months or the fine. Don't mind you informing me and others of the consequences, but don't like your sarcasm about my dog coming along nicely, when you don't know me or my dog. The post I quoted says about prey drive, which my pup has in abundance. ????? Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Muzzle the geese while your bull cross runs amok. That's priceless. At least it shows he's got prey drive. Lol 2 Quote Link to post

bird 10,014
id guess the right bull would have good wind for most jobs they would mate, a game apbt from good working lines as great stamina for that job in the pit, but as soon as you out x to greyhound you loosing that good stamina . I carnt work it out, because if x to a collie, saluki,Alsatian, deerhound, all breeds with good natural stamina , when x to greyhound the stamina not to bad and these type lurchers have had not bad wind. But put a pit x to greyhound you deff loose stamina compared to the other lurcher xs, feck knows why because as above pits in pure form have good stamina. as said before a bullx with collie or saluki in the mix, will throw a very different type of bullx with good stamina than straight bull x grey, I had 3 bull x greys all good dogs, but all lacked stamina compared to other lurcherxs ive owned or seen work, and ive said on here few times that a pitx grey x coursing dog would be near as a allrounder you get in a lurcher , one x I have in my kennel's any day Quote Link to post

Very handy dogs by all account. Coursing bred stuff with bull added... Quote Link to post

flipbull 1,139
Met many arrogant anglers over the years and it looks like there is a few in this game to. Sort your heads out and get back to the subject simon posted. Doesn't just want to chase geese and is fine with other dogs. He was on a park with no other dogs about, geese where other side of fence, pup has never gone after them at night so I let him stretch his legs. He never come pre-programmed stock broken to geese and chased them into the water, big f***ing deal. He obviously won't get another chance on that park of doing it again. Lesson leant from it. So get off your high horses ffs. 2 Quote Link to post
