jcm 2,327
In a whole most of theses all rounders type I have seen have been 24tts + going up to 30inch and are very good at must things but I havnt seen to many dogs under 24tts takeing most quarry and i don't think it's because they carnt I think it's because people prefer taller dogs. One of the best dogs I have witnessed was a 23 inch bitch she took everything the lad who owned her put a load of gear in front of her and she never upset. So what I'm asking is have you owned or whitnessed these shorter dogs on if so any pics or story's to share Quote Link to post

roybo 2,873
I think a good dog is good regardless of size, for it to be an all rounder you need to get it out and do as much differing work as possible , If it can catch most things and you are happy great , 3 Quote Link to post

fireman 11,382
I've a bitch here that's 24" at most and she's doing her job better than most bigger lurchers i've seen attempt it,strength don't allways come in "big" . Quote Link to post
Omanyra 2,518
The best all rounders were all around 23-24 inches and I've seen a number of good ones above this but not many below these sizes 2 Quote Link to post
jcm 2,327
Like I said most prefer taller dogs which I understand but surely these smaller dogs are out there doing the business any pics of smaller dogs that could turn to most tasks Quote Link to post
