Does anyone know a release date for the book?

Our printer has given a rough date for delivery of the first week in April, but as soon as we take delivery we will let everyone on here know

There has been quite a few pre orders off the hunting life, and these will be sent out immediately we receive the books, and we will let all these guys know personally by the email addresses or contact phone numbers they have given us

Hope this helps

Any other questions please fire away, 4 of the 5 people involved with the production of the book are on here

A brief insight into the book;

The book covers a year travelling with the Border Ratters, a team of terrier lads based in Northumberland and Durham

Firstly, this is NOT a how to book, everyone on here knows how to kill a rat, and it would be insulting telling anyone, how to do it..

What the book is; a written and pictorial documentation of some of the highlights of the year that is written about.

How is it different to all the other ratting with terrier books available? well, the main focus is on the images in the book. Among them are probably some of the best rat hunting with terrier that has ever been seen in print.

Whats in it? This is a quality hardback book. There are 240 pages printed on high quality silk paper, almost 400 images, and over 27000 words. There are chapters on various breeds of terriers we took out during the year, including; Bedlingtons, Borders, JRT, Plummers, Patterdale and Lakeys, a working Westie and various crosses from some of these breeds. Each of these breeds has a chapter devoted to "how it went" and images of each breed.

There are chapters on; action shots, close ups, daylight work, lads and dogs in the throws hunting rats, etc etc etc

There is a chapter on "how we got the images", what camera used, which lenses, settings etc for anyone interested in having a go..

There is information on the breeds, some history of the individual dogs used and the guys that travelled with us, some of them from as far away as Wales.

These are some stories of some of the nights and days out, with accurate detail, and some humour

This is a limited print run, and for the time, it will not be available in book stores. It will be available online, through secure online purchasing, or via cheque. It will be made available on Amazon. The Border Ratters will also be visiting various shows over the season to promote the book.

There is a link here; for anyone wishing to order, or pre-order, http://www.billdoher...tion839473.html

Or, please PM myself, WHWT or Staff for postal address for paying by cheque, or indeed any other imormation that you require.

Have a look at the link, as there is an online raffle for £1 with a chance to win a copy.

Thanks guys.

A book that promotes working dogs can't be promoted on a working dog website?even tho you were a donater? Mmm OK.

I got reported on Facebook, on a closed working terrier group, for an image showing "graphic violence"

The same image is in the book..

Never mind, sorted now

Aye your right..on a closed working terrier page you think you would be safe..not that the photo was illegal, it was Pud (WHWT) off here holding a dog with a rat..,Might have been Puds mug shot that they were complaining about..ha ha ha
