steve66 3,667
If you contact the manager, it'll give him time to destroy the CCTV footage and cover tracks , probs best going to police if you want a result

Tiercel 6,986
i wouldnt pay on my card for 2. never mind someone elses trampy feckers. I will pay on the card even for a 10p item. The cost to them of a card payment is already figured in to the price of the item so why let the robbing barstewards get away with it. TC

3175darren 1,102
The till receipt should be traceable through the back office, you say they were two other transactions, every time a transaction is done at a till the items sales records it ie which till, what time, what operator, it will also tel if it was key entered, or swiped, who ever did it would not hang around and would have gone to exit, provided it wasn't staff and the exit /entry cameras are better, some stores have the digital systems, which only take so many frames a second,so it might look like it just disappeared, but you should get a picture off another camera of someone hanging around or exiting, this all depends how much effort the store want to put into it,but as said before get the bobbies involved,
RubyTex 1,957
So the manager can see a small card in a machine on the CCTV, but he can't see who took it Bollocks. It's odd he offered you a refund and compensation straight away, most businesses would prefer to investigate before admitting any liability and any refund usually in these cases goes straight through your bank. Very strange. Almost an admission of guilt Call the cops
Poacherspocket 189
Exactly what i thought budharley.
