Leeview,   The judges were well received before the event and I am confident ALL of them know a whole lot more about dogs and sportsmanship in Ireland than a guy who creeps on to the forum at this

I am so delighted to hear tonight from John Shaw that he is going to be re-united with his dog tomorrow that even your whingeing can't spoil that.   I have no interest whatsoever in answering your q

I am delighted that our judges have been well received for Birr and I trust they get a good entry. Our prize fund is second to none anywhere and the Roscrea lads are a great team so please give them your support. We are delighted to host the Mourne Digging Championships and a stand by the IWTF.

Thanks - delighted that judges for the terriers have all given their support to the IWTF and hopefully the terrier & lurcher folk will visit the IWTF stand in the Salmon & Woodcock Pavilion to register their interest.

Mixedgill, I'd imagine that comment is said with tongue in cheek  . I don't know Breandan too well but have spoke with him on a few occasions....he comes across as a genuine working dog person, a straight talker, calls a spade a spade and someone who knows a hell of a lot through experience and knowledge what he's talking about!!!!

Leeview,

The judges were well received before the event and I am confident ALL of them know a whole lot more about dogs and sportsmanship in Ireland than a guy who creeps on to the forum at this time of the year to criticise everything we try to do to promote a positive image of working dogs. If anyone looks at his posts about our Game Fairs they will see a pattern emerge from the posts from a person almost totally ignorant about what he posts and someone who obviously has a huge chip on his shoulder over his exchanges with me. I consider I am fortunate never to have met the man - I can argue with the best of them and in fact I now regard many of the people with whom I had arguments with on this and other sites as friends, because I recognised that their criticism was constructive and when we met up we spoke our minds and agreed to disagree. I don't mind anyone having strong views or speaking their mind. AND I don't mind him criticising me - as I totally don't value his opinion. BUT I do object to him criticising our event organisers who are good dog men trying to do a difficult job and run fair events.

A Tribute to the late John Shaw who passed away  last Thursday 6th November 25

      I Am Free
Do not grieve for me now my  friends and family, I am free
I am following the path God Laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day
To Love, to live, to hunt, to show my treasured Whippets, or play.
I found a peace at close of day.
Be not burdened with the times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief
Do not lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts my friends and share with me
      God wanted me now,
      He set me free.
John, we will love you forever and you will be sadly missed by your loving family and all your Country Sporting Fraternity and in the show ring.
May the Angels above give you the best seat in Heaven and may your gentle soul rest in peace.
      For Country Sports Fraternity
      Margaret Mc Stay
