Not sure but Lowther used to have a caravan site, google it and see.

Expensive to get in £18 and not what it used to be, depends on what you wanna do and see, typical country fair.

Weather bit hit and miss, sunshine and rain forecast, look at the met office 7 day forecast for Penrith, depends on the tail end of the storm due to hit the country. Just had a look and seems poor, weather warnings in place and rain all afternoon, not good but what the hell.

Been today and the weather was great. Really busy and a great day out.

 

Better than the last few years I have been a lot more stalls and more to do. One of the better shows around at the minute

We went up yesterday, scorcher of a day weather wise.

 

Good show with the fly fishing, hounds etc, etc, especially liked watching the horses some good driving around those obstacles.

 

Good mix of things to do and see, a lot more commercial than it used to be 20 years ago but still worth the trip up, loved the hounds men singing at the end. Will go two days next year to save rushing around.

 

I don't know what it will be like today if they get rain, the hill will take out some people.

It's been many years since I last went to Lowther, I'd have gone this year but for working. Keep the reports up folks, because it's one I'd like to get to next year.

We went down had good crack didn't get to see much of the game fair but what we did see seemed to be few good stalls and few good deals to be got. Still an expensive day out if you have to pay a couple of £18s plus diesel, spent most of the day at the terrier and lurcher rings catching up so its worth it for that be good if the dog lads got a discount tho

always liked the lowther event. used to be a proper good day out also may give it a go next year
