Bosun11 537
You, with your first line, just confirmed what I was already thinking Neems. Your posts are my posts, if I could have posted 20 years ago! They smack of the dog lover (and I'm sure we all are) with a respect for bull breeds and owners that you think will become responsible with time... Why punish the dog for the actions of the owners.... The truth of the matter is that the bull breeds that you know are, on the streets, a million miles from the dogs you'll read about in books on breeds. They are a quasi, basterdised imitation of the dogs they once were. Bred for a different market and a different purpose, by people who use them because they 'think' it raises their status. My admiration of bull breeds comes from that very source, because in my ignorance, as a kid, i was probably part of the problem. Though back then, the dogs of my youth were much more true to type! But it's my admiration of bull blood that makes me want to take the harshest actions to make only the right people own the dogs. I never watched that programme, I never watch any of those programmes. I only have to take a ride round my inner city to see what is shown on them. I don't want to ban feck all, just think it's time for tough love to 'save' both the breeds and the people who suffer from shite ownership...
neems 2,406
I know what you mean and I know there's a lot of difference in dogs you see being walked around by nobs and real working ones,I've owned both types at one point. I don't think shit owners will become responsible with time, not all the worst owners are young lads,I'd like to see the appropriate people penalised (by not being allowed dogs if they obviously can't handle it) and punished, not everyone but them. Which is how it would go imo,we'd suffer the people who are the problem would pretty much carry on as usual.
South hams hunter 8,988
The biggest problem I think with an insurance type thing is they would probably give the power to the arsepca. It wouldn't be enforceable by any means, as of April 2016 it will be law that all dogs are chipped so let's see how that pans out
dare 1,103
Not entirely off subject but does anyone know the name of the band who done the song geronimo's cadillac? Was on YouTube with old game dogs as the video if that's any help. Thought that's why I'd ask here. Trying to find the song but what I'm getting come up sounds camp so guessing its a cover.
