Blackbriar 8,569
Why was this DJ sacked, when some radio stations play rap 'music' littered with the word in question ? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-27360884 Edited May 11, 2014 by Blackbriar

walshie 2,804
At least the BBC has it's priorities right. You can't play an year old song in case it offends, but kiddy fiddling is acceptable.

Brigzy 1,298
They are going to change our language and lifestyle little by little until we are afraid to speak. I wouldn't normally call a black person a nigger, but didn't some old woman who was asked to describe her postman, and said he was a "coloured man", get boycotted by the post office, as the said it was a racist statement ? Are we still allowed to call black people "black" ? This is the problem, first it's nigger that's banned, then coloured, then black !! Where doe's it stop ?
Frann 882
Some folk do get offended when others say "black person". Seen it on other forums, social media etc. "Ooh you cant call Stevie Wonder a black man, its racist!" FFS gets me tamping mun What the hell should I say then? Dark man? walshie 2,804
There was a stage when black people wanted to be called "People of colour" - note NOT coloured people. Then that fell out of favour and they all got terribly offended and precious about it. Unless you check daily what the new word is, you're always likely to fall foul of the latest trends. Not that I would do that, I'm not racist but if I was black I'd much rather be called black than coloured I mean if I was purple with yellow dots then by all means call me coloured.......

scothunter 12,609
It's more a yank word anyway. It lost it's venom years ago, when the darkies started calling each other it. I'll stick with the tribes all they c**ts fit into that bracket as far as I'm concerned.
Outlaw Pete 2,224
Unless you check daily what the new word is, you're always likely to fall foul of the latest trends. F**king Tell me about it! I was on a rat job, one night. Council bod' and the press were there. (Yeah. This was Some f**king job! ) Anyway, something mad appeared to have been done and I, under considerable pressure, as ye might imagine, did my utmost to be 'Correct' before the live media. " Have the residents of this property got ..... 'Mental Health Issues'?' I gingerly enquired. No good! Eyes were diverted or rolled. Faces were palmed. I'd obviously f**ked up! " Err ..... " Stammers the council mush. " W ... We actually prefer to speak of it as 'Learning Difficulties', today ..... " Well, f**k my boots! Cos I have head troubles. And, last time anyone called Me a Loon? It never bothered me at all! What are ye gonna call it Tomorrow then, if it's something " Today "? FFS. I almost wanted to say; " And what do these f**king head bangers call themselves? ..... Oy! Head Bangers! Get your f**king arses in here a minute ....! " Honest to f**king christ ....!
