I bet if it wasn't possible to lamp from a motor there wouldn't be half as many lads keeping lurcher's.

Trouble is when most people talk about lamping from a 4x4 they picture a Subaru screaming across a stubble field and having 1/2 crosses thrown out the windows at quarry which will be left behind after

So many lurcher lads these days all talk about kill kill kill.   If that's what your after get a 22.250 and a thermal imaging kit, you will be a legend within the week   Id prefer to be out enjoy

4x4 lamping puts tackle in front of the dog's and that's about it. if done right there should be no injuries to the dogs unless they are freak accidents. Most who tend to knock it have never tried it in my experience.

Why anyone would think 4x4 lamping is better than walking is beyond me a dog sat in the motor all night is never going to get as fit as a dog walking all night ever. 4x4 lamping is for the lazy and born idle get out on foot and put the miles in you will then see what youve got on end off the lead

I used too do a good bit of lamping from the trucks was always a good night and the dogs would see a lot more then what you would on foot the only problem I had with it is the cost you would be spending another 20 on fuel and the wear and tear you end up spending money on them all the time if your out on rough ground but it is like some one said earlier the gates just become a nightmare and you need too take some one else with ya as well so it's another person you have too pick up as well I've thought for the last couple of years about buying a quad get a shelf built on the back for the dog and a box on the front for the catch that way just do it your self

 i can walk all day and night doesnt mean im going to get fit it takes more than a steady walk to condition a running dog
