As I've mentioned before, I've been keeping pigs on a bit of land near me for a couple of years, it's about three acres or so in size, and for the most part is a jungle of bramble, with a few trees an

The first occupants . . .

Aye, the good news is that after a bit of a paddy, I've sat myself down and i'm pretty sure I can think my way around it.   We're building a barn after all . . . .   I'll stop being a fanny now

Right, I need to update this a bit!

Still need to build a barn, but things have expanded a bit.

Registered as a business now, up to 47 sheep, around 20 pigs and assorted poultry. Had a cracking litter out of my saddleback sow.

Also managed to acquire some more land, so now messing around with around 30 acres (still only own 3 and a bit!), mostly rented.

Onwards and upwards!

Aye, well apparently, if you stop posting on THL folk think your dead. . . . including the ones that know you in the real world lol.

But no, very much alive. Just incredibly busy with the dogs, sheep, pigs, ferrets, gamekeepering, work etc etc. Not much time for sitting around in the evenings on the laptop.

But thought a visit was due when wales12345 said folk were worried. Poor wee lambs :tongue2:

Finn is back in working order, on all four feet at the moment. The 'pup' is now a lump, doing well, just needs lots of work throwing at her, and constant reminding of her manners as the drive in her is strong and she's stubborn as feck. The hound is absolutely flying, had a summer of lazing around and this season she has really upped her game, absolute dream to work. So aye, dog wise i'm happy at the moment. Been looking at the empty kennel i've got though and having some thoughts. Finn might be making babies after the season. . . . . .

Really glad you enjoyed it Nigel. 8 month old free range saddleback, good bit of meat there. Got to pick two cross breeds up tomorrow, should be around 150-160 kilo of pork between them!
