I Knew It Wouldn't Last Lol

Recommended Posts

My wife's a vegi. Her step father took pleasure in telling her she was eating one of the bullocks they'd named. He signed his own death warrant doing that and she became a full on vegan which must have made their lives hell in the 1980s before it was common place, some people are squeamish especially eating something they've looked after but taking the mick or being insensitive is very likely to push them in to the vegi camp.

Tread carefully :)

My brother's ex turned veggie way before he met her, 'her choice' but she wasn't bothered about anyone eating meat. Didn't find it sickening just didn't want to eat it which is fair enough. She'd even see me bringing rabbits and pheasants etc in and stand and have a good gander and didn't mind touching meat when preparing dinner. No bother at all.

On the other hand his new bird, a meat eater, is sickened when I bring stuff home and calls me cruel. Won't touch it, won't go anywhere near it. Even gets the boke when I get some raw delivered for the dogs :hmm:

...I like the old girlfriend better :laugh::laugh:

The mother in law is funny with the meat she eats. She's an 'animal lover' and won't eat meat that resembles meat. She'll eat processed ham, burgers, bacon that is burned to a crisp and unrecognisable but put a nice piece of beef in front of her and she'll turn her nose up!

Last bird I had wasn't quite vegetarian but would only eat 'happy animals' :icon_eek:

Cooked her haggis once, told her it was from the local butchers, ethically reared, very expensive, organic. Was just cheap halls shit from Tesco lol

Chicken stir fry which was supposed to be 'happy chicken', asda smart price cheap and nasty shit, chicken would have had a miserable existence, probably committed suicide  even I felt guilty eating that shit.

My auntie was a vegan, full on animal lover, green peace the lot, they lived in Surrey and when they came down I'd get stick for my cruelty to animals off of her ( hunting and fishing made me the devil in her eyes lol)...

The best thing was my uncle went along with it to keep the peace, but when we had a roast or something he was found on a few occasions late at night tucking into the chicken carcass like a deranged caveman lol

They've split my uncles back to be a carnivore full time..... No doubt she was a fruit cake lol

Especially as our food has shit on it !:laugh:
