fireman 11,482
You ever mix with the horse drawn Beltane crowd fireman? I heard their dogs were very territorial in camp. Yes mate know/knew a good few folks who live with horses and wagons, even had a open lot myself for a couple of years as it goes and my dogs were the same, they just knew when to guard and wouldn't let a stranger near my wagon when i wasn't there. . Most site dogs are the same and have allways let folks know when someones about but some are sure better at their jobs than others

youcanthide...BANG 1,051
Doubt they are pitbulls, just the media saying they were, as per usuall, they know nothing about the dogs in the attack so they reel the gullable folk in by saying they are suspected to be pit bulls. If they are pitbulls then the bloke wants the book throwing at him, im the first to defend pitbull type breeds, but not the morons that keep them when they shouldnt

hairyface 211
Horrendous. The lady that's died is the auntie of a teenage lad i work with closely and mentor, he's distraught as are the entire family. From what he's told me the dogs were loved family pets with no history of aggression. Apparently the woman had an epileptic fit which somehow led to the attack. Sad, sad news. As it goes i've seen dogs go for someone having a epilectic fit,i used to live as a hippy traveller(for want of a better word)and a lad on site had a fit once and a few dogs around seemed to zoom in on him and if folks hadn't of been around it would have been along the lines of this story. Will add non of the said dogs were aggressive normaly in any way and the fit sure unlocked something in those pets. Sad story for sure and RIP the lady and soon to be those dogs. a few years ago there was a local bloke had a fit and his rotweiller done the same thing,he was identified by his many tattoos.very sad but the press will twist it to there advantage
fireman 11,482
It's scary shit when you know how to deal with someone fitting let alone not and those dogs i saw sure were acting funny and most had to be locked up or put back on chains as they were reved up to say the least and there was a mix of dog and bitches and they all wanted in,wonder if anyone on here suffers from them and how do their dogs or other animals cope with it?.
Cleanspade 3,324
ive a young lady that takes epileptic fits in my house. she took a seizure in the bathroom at 3am. fell and bust her head and got jammed between the bath and the pan. she tas upturned and gurgling with her mouth full of blood. she was dead for sure but for her terrier standing beside her barking. waking me up. no sign of aggression. from a very gassy dog.. on a different note there are dogs trained to bark to warn a sufferer of an impending seizure. obviously the experts have missed the fact that after warning the person to sit or lay down somewhere safe the canine will then maul them. god bless that poor young girl and all her family.

Ocset 91
A girl I knew who was earning money from dog walking, was attacked by the the 2 dobermans she was walking........it was her tripping over that sparked them off, luckily someone helped her, but only after being attacked for several minutes..... She told me she thought she would die there.... RIP for that lady, a truly horific way to go. Are Dobermans not known for attacking their handlers? I seem to recall reading that somewhere. It may well have been in a paper and another example of media hype though. RIP.
