do you have a peferance i do like doing a bit of both now and again, took my little bitch out for a bit of bolting rabbits and she caught 9 out of 9, a few of them she hit cover to catch, thought she done well on the day now im not bumming my dog up but shes a handy we bitch and i enjoyed it, keep it clean now atvb tommy!

yea depends on the ground for me if its nice and open I wont put a net down. 1 caught by the dog is worth 5 in a net in my eyes.

we always like to bolt to the dogs as it keeps them fit and on their toes and its good sport and a bit of craic and usually a good day out. we only net if its for greyhound men or to stock somewhere else.

A lot of it here is in walls, often with thorn hedges growing on and alongside, so I can only leave it un netted if I have a dog on both sides. If I'm doing it for farmers I need every rabbit too but I do love to see a few runs.

Went out yesterday and did a bit of both, netted where the cover was a bit heavy and the ground didn't suit. Its always enjoyable to not put nets down but sometimes needs must.

Depends how serious i go at it, if i want to get everything i use purse and long nets with the dog, if not just long net a big perimeter to keep the dog on her toes and nothing better than watching the dog on a run even if it doesn't catch imo
