dymented 2,220 Posted October 27, 2013 Report Share Posted October 27, 2013 The 3rd European Directive requires that three-wheeled vehicles now fall within the motorcycle, rather than the car category for driver licensing purposes, and so provisional licence holders obtaining licences after 19 January 2013 must pass a test on a motorcycle to gain three-wheeled vehicle entitlement. However, the Directive offered Member States the option of allowing drivers who hold a full category B (car) licence to be able to drive three-wheeled vehicles above 15KW power rating, provided that they are at least 21 years of age. This option was not taken up by the UK at the time, but other Member States did take up the option. The DVLA would therefore like to know if drivers feel that it is a good idea for the UK to take up this option Quote Link to post Share on other sites

fireman 11,513 Posted October 27, 2013 Report Share Posted October 27, 2013 Had a few as go karts over the years(bumper cars till the bodies fell off and at £7 a time for runners from a scarp yard wouldn't you have done the same? ) and a pal of mine was right into them,the old regal vans (dell boy) would wheely like a good un with a person or two sat by the back door and he had a Reliant Ant 1 ton pick up once and driving in that with a load of scrap on the back was as scary as feck .
