Finally got all the nonsense with my mum's estate sorted, so I'm tarting up her house before I sell it. I can manage the inside, lick of paint etc but the garden is a mess and i have no idea where to begin.

The entire lawn, front and back is knee deep with weeds and brambles. Can't see any grass through it at all.

If I strim it all down, it will just be short weeds and no grass surely?

Any ideas on how to make the lawns at least presentable?

Ta.

Is this a joke

From the picture the front garden might surprise you after a good going over with the strimmer and a few weeks of mowing. The back looks like it will need something like agent orange!
