Huan72 687
Could you see a kid banging them into a £100 pair of trainers today !!. Times have changed. I remember moving from a senior school because it was shut down (it was shockingly bad and rough), to a better and posher one, wearing a home knitted jumper in the uniform colour.........it was an interesting first day...........don't think that would happen now

sussex 5,802
Seem to remember not having much choice when it came to clothes or shoes , what the old lady bought you wore, they worked on the tougher it is the longer it lasted theory, shoes weighed a ton , and soon as they started to wear down the old fella hammered a load of segs on for good measure..We liked the sparks when cornering on the bike , fast as you could go , leg out , heel down ..think the shoes would have lasted longer if he hadn't nailed on half the welsh steelworks ..!! The thought of asking for the equivelent of £100 for a pair of shoes would have rendered the ol fella to tears of laughter .....before he swiped you ....good old days ?
