Delighted to say that interest in the combined Ballywalter & Shanes Castle Fairs has really continued to build towards our objective of delivering the largest Irish game fair ever.   It looks as

As much as i respect albert... My dog will never leave my side for even a day until the day he dies...

We'll both be at birr, possibly mourne as well

this is part the reason people with lurchers get a bad name people just don't put the time and effort into training them while they are young a lot are locked in a pen till a year old and people don't seem to understand why they are getting pulled round a field by there four legged friend they let it of and it wont come back simply you get out what you put in

I would put up with a half decent lurcher that's well trained than a great disobedient dog that sent you over the edge ever time you took it out but each to there own

I simply cannot understand how anyone can hunt without their dog being at least fairly well obedience trained. Still at four dogs - where are ALL of these trained working lurchers?

Albert surely by now you've figured it out that most of these 'solely' hunting folk are just a bunch of moans. They moan about the showing.....they give off about the racing and then you and others put on events for them to show off their dogs skills and guess what.....they clear off and hide in their closets!!!!!

you forgot to mention mate, that it may have taken you two years but she is chasing that plastic bag very very well at the minute  And when you say you leave that to real hunting men, is that also why I seem to carry everything when we are out and also do all of the digging? :hmm::laugh: ....chancer!!!

When you said you didn't mind digging i thought you were politely saying "leave the digging to me". Hey!! thats gratitude for you.....you try and help someone by letting them do the things they enjoy and then they slag you of for it. Just glad we didn't have to do any digging in that graveyard the other day

A Tribute to the late John Shaw who passed away  last Thursday 6th November 25

      I Am Free
Do not grieve for me now my  friends and family, I am free
I am following the path God Laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day
To Love, to live, to hunt, to show my treasured Whippets, or play.
I found a peace at close of day.
Be not burdened with the times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief
Do not lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts my friends and share with me
      God wanted me now,
      He set me free.
John, we will love you forever and you will be sadly missed by your loving family and all your Country Sporting Fraternity and in the show ring.
May the Angels above give you the best seat in Heaven and may your gentle soul rest in peace.
      For Country Sports Fraternity
      Margaret Mc Stay
