darbo 4,779
Good luck with your scan hope everything is fine. my wife has scans every few months and it is worrying leading up to the day and waiting for results. My thoughts are with whippet and his family at this terrible news and i hope they can stay strong as a family. Edited March 26, 2013 by darbo
RubyTex 1,957
Good luck with the scan mate. Thoughts are with whippet99 tonight. My uncle has a growth in/on his nose of all places, he's had loads of operations to get them removed but they keep coming back. They were going to operate and remove it again but it's huge this time so they would have had to cut away a large chunk of his face. Unfortunately they've now found his liver is ravaged by cancer so they've said there's no point disfiguring him because he is going to die anyway. It always seems to happen to the people who least deserve it. Shite. The hospitals advice to him - "live today as though it's your last and enjoy what you've got left" which i think applies to all of us anyway!!!
bwfc 164
Good luck to you,i know how you feel as i have a tumour.Im very lucky that mine isnt cancerous but it makes me very poorly. It sits on top of my adrenal gland and they wont remove it until its 6cm in size. Its 4.2cm at the last MRI scan so ive just got to wait till it grows before they operate. Its a tough time with the NHS as it is at the moment and private is little better.Best advice i can give you is dont let things get you down as that can make you poorly in itself.Any time you need a friendly chat or a moan you can pm me,im full of positive shite!!.
paulus 26
its a disease that will be part of all our lives for one reason or another at some point. ive personally have seen all i want to see of it, but alas im doubtfull that will be the case, on the plus side though, the treatment and survival rates have increased greatly in the last few years. however its a disease that has an an influence all the family and friends and not just the person suffering from it. good luck and god bless to anyone who has the missfortune to be touched by cancer.
