Myself & my eldest lad Frankel had a walk out earlier on today with the mutts..we stayed clear of the snow which was rife less than two miles from where we walked..you forget how steep some of the

...you just knew there would be more pics lol

We had a great view as we climbed further upwards, even watching a couple of Buzzards soaring below us ..     Snow just up the valley..

your a lucky get thats great lad u have there and the pups are in great nick .

I think anyone who lives within a stones throw of great scenic land much like ourselves kind of take it for granted to be honest? You can drive past and not really give it a second glance,it's only really when you get out onto the fells or in the countryside that you really appreciate what you have..

Like a statue lol

Thanks everyone ... just for those asking about the dogs, the big dogs are handy enough,Swift has plenty of pace and also a decent engine meaning she has more than enough wind, well at least for what we run anyway lol..Don is just a Cur haha..just a lovely dog to have out with you be it lamping, ferreting, mooching, beating or whatever..guaranteed to put in a 100% effort for you..our pups are coming along grand, thought it was time this last few days to get them out with the old dogs now I have them walking perfect on the leash, jumping in and out the motor and in the main coming back when called...plenty of work ahead yet though!..

Troter..we have all heard or even seen the cur x which picks and chooses, becomes too clever or half hearted BUT I will eat hay with an horse if the Don dog ever even thinks let alone does any of the aforementioned lol...he has a prey drive a greyhound would be proud of yet he is very obedient and just seems to know what you want him to do without opening your mouth..he's darn ugly, would never of killed a Fen hare, not exciting to watch running but I'm very fond of him and he serves us well..the cream pup Fife is our lasses baby ffs ... she wasn't calling it her baby earlier when it was parading about with the leg of some road kill haha

To be honest Wilf it didn't feel too cold well not when in amongst the conifers but on the fell well you know the craic? We are gonna have a trek down into the Lakes and have a wander in the area of the old man of Conistonin the next few days..it's a mountain which overlooks Coniston Lake..I have a book about the Coniston Foxhounds deciphering hunts for the past century and many were in and around this area ...it's gonna be lung busting but you never know what critters abide in those old ancient fellside forests and amongst the crags..

I have driven the roads round Coniston, hunted the fells around Troutbeck and walked the fells around Kentmeer, stayed there in fact.

Fished a couple of the waters round there too.

Loved very minute of it.
