SCOOBY

Recommended Posts

No offence intended, but, there are a lot of dogs out there both alive and dead that will never have a mention in despatches that were probably the equivilant and better than the Scooby dog. Plummers merle must be a legendary albeit dead animal. To be fair I don't think the man tried to big the dog up, just wrote a book about an animal he cared for and rated in his opinion. Don't mean it was anything special to the next man.

Not bein funny mate but if you've got the book and are untreated in the dog or hearing about him why not have a good read of the book? Nobody will be able to tell you about him better than darcy it was his dog.

We have all had dogs that aren't 100% what we want but IMO this is were a true dog man shows his worth by getting the best from a dog and using what ever strengths it has. No matter what doubts i have in my head about Scooby's legend status i would never doubt the love JD had for him.

Agreed wilf,,, good post P.... It's something I try to do as well, lots of Dogs have shortcomins ,, but most lads won't admit to others, in fact they won't believe it themselves . You can often work round faults,, just have to think different and work to the dogs strengths.
