When Alan Wells won the 1980 100m.....6 of the 8 starters were white........................in the 2012 100m none were white !..............same applies to the distance events. gnasher16 29,754 Posted August 6, 2012 Report Share Posted August 6, 2012 For years Malt that theory held a lot of weight in the sports world.......up till quite recently it was pretty much accepted that the strongest men in the world were predominantly Scandinavian.........Strongman contests were almost always won by Icelandics/Norweigans/Swedes/Finns etc etc.........................over more recent years the Strongman contests and weightlifting in general titles have been more shared throughout the world Yanks/Eastern Europe etc.......for what reason i dont know.......but i agree theres definately something in it as blacks are still not represented in strength events in any way really.
