With you on that one mate, to see these top level sports men and women compete and what it takes and means to them to win or loose is IMHO everything that is good about humanity......anyone who fails to empathise when they win or loose, if you don't feel it then you have either never played sport or if you have have you never took it seriously enough. These folk ain't running out on a Sunday after 10 pints and a curry the night before, they have dedicated themselves totally for 4 years.......Mo Farrah said the other night he is running 120 miles a week every week!!.......to then be the type of bloke who can do that over 3 or 4 competitions and at get yousefl to a level ware you are beating the best on the planet takes a dedication bordering on obsession. Green water, duck and goose crap all around the edges, and in the evening the odd rat or two scavaging for bits of bread.
