after extensive research, ive found the culprit

Lol. No it definatly wasnt the terrier he just picked it up as he was buggering about.

 

You sure mate....still warm blood stained?.....i think you dog may have just stumbled across it and grabbed it.......if not then im lost but the circumstances seem to point to the dog...being a hunting dog

Aye, he's 20 weeks, and he doesnt mess about with dead rabbits, moles and even a young fox cub we found, but he hasnt got that urge to hunt yet because of his age, his eyes are on the ground all the time but he's not noticing rabbits 20 yards infront of him. Still, its early doors yet.

ive seen a ferret shite it from a stoat in rabbit warren, the stoat chased the ferret all over the place and dare say it would of killed it had it caught it

 

I've bolted stoats a few times when ferreting. Your ferret must be a softie. :whistling:
