I know of a farmer who beat a rival farmers cow to the point it had to be pts cause its back was broken after it strayed on his land, farmers are an odd breed (i know, im married into a farming family)

It was probably a big misunderstanding, likely the fella was told your were someone else for a windup by the fella you were talking to?

It probably went along the lines: Trevor, I've just seen a bloke shagging one of the cows, and now he wants to see you!!

He was probably an anti. Not all farmers want stuff killing. I remember hounds running through some land years ago, and as a tractor made it's way over to us, our huntsman, all confident says, "I'll just apologise and we'll be on our way". Feck me, the tractor slid to a halt, narrowly missing us, then the farmer went purple with rage as he balled at us to "get orf my land"! He was an anti alright and told us there were no foxes on his land anyway. Just then, several hounds brought a fox across the field behind him and we were away again! I did phone next day to apologise but was told we were not welcome again. Thought I heard a banjo sound coming from the farm house....
